PIETY
OF SOCIETY
Piety
of society,
Fateful
sermons served in faithful tones to reproach incorrigible fiends,
Hear says
of syllables, drowning the drunkard in sobriety
Naysayers
and god smiths, religion burying friends
Strangers
in wild boats, philosophizing mischief to repetitive trends
Contextualizing
morality
Visualizing
the idea of higher purpose by delineating the ends
Man
rewired, re-purposed, reconstructed
Yet
not better.
Selling
philosophy
Pedaling
paraphernalia
These
gods in our heads,
Exorcise
quotes to attain semblance of gods
Living
in fancy mansions
Selling
truth for sedated reality,
Choked
religion
Hardly
sipping the venom of truth
When
morality is confused with material dimensions
And
faith becomes the aura of the sword
When
ideology flirts with ambition
Man
rewiring history or his-story
Vain
apparitions of the complex desires of man
Arguments
of truth gently lay out.
Self
afflicting society
Working
and walking ahead of itself
Liquidation
of morality
Fickle
trends soliloquized in ambition.
Tension
colonized by gods ahead
Who
have waited to pilfer and re-imagine freedom,
Straight
line of sanity
Activating
the activist who actively acts inactivity,
Locked
up in purple screens
Visualizing
the hallucinations of a struggle
Solemn
quotes
Mass
words and syllables to quantify a struggle
For
the right of a man to serenade a man
A
vision for desire stoned in seminal spite
Fatefully
arguing the damnation of time,
While
the gun in the streets sweeps with sway
Citizens
of war and ego clamps
Taste
of the test of power’s greedy chasm
Gun
whispers ruin, sleeping chaos
Bloody
misfits, colour of time
Fear
tomorrow’s glorious call
Children
are learning the victim’s ire
Growing
in fits and seizures of hate
Waiting
to be glorious to wilt in disgrace
Killers
are innocent
The
guilty are dead
The
dead kill the innocent
The
guilty have fled
And
war never flirts with life again
Piety
of society
Lazy
words and heinous quotes
Recognizing
a world that’s deeper than the righteous revolt
There
is no future with the worms that we dug
Into
the deeper depths of the vile that we fear,
We
close rooms and open havens for our sedated minds
Trying
to figure out if we know ourselves too
The
world is harder to see with the many labels
Cages
of freedom appearing as freewill
And
while we endlessly write the heresy of the now
Trying
so hard to not be Semitic, racist, sexist, or fascist
Adjusting
our desires to fit in the line
While
seeking freewill
We
slowly enslave our minds,
Sanity
breaths on the waves of the sea
The
revolt sees sway on subtle stands
When
it’s the society we seek
The
piety says bleak
Piety
of society
Everything
seems dark.
