THE BLIGHT OF A
BEAUTIFUL SOUL
The
flower swiftly curls at the lights glare,
Its
shiny limbs smiling at the sunset lows.
Pirouetting
with windy desire,
Its
petal dances in the gracious air.
And
beauty as we may ever know it was duly given!
And
so innocence was conceived to fill the earth,
Darkas
the soft night when the music ebbs away.
My
eyes closed to see the time moving,
In
the near distance her voice speaks,
Telling
stories of a thousand memories.
She
stays in the reality of all that lives calm,
Her
voice toned to comfort the world,
Her
smile a dream for motivation
In
the midst of uncertain times she stood,
The
beauty of all that was beautiful
But
fair beautiful gifts come with a steep prize
As
innocence can always be dealt a dark dream
And
every perfection that comes with her happiness
Can
be swept under the dust of every past
And
beauty shows its vulnerable day.
Her
doubts numb her light
And
in her depths, the beauty fades a little
Clouded
by a myriad of choices
All
seeking what makes her glow,
She
is hurt by admiration.
But
how come her beauty is her only curse?
Why
is her beauty her charm and her pain?
Too
many Romeo’s pinning for this Juliet
Will
she ever know the path of her love?
Or
will she forever be bended by her gift.?
And
so the choice filled the wall,
As
she led her path of broken dreams.
Hurt
by circumstances, a victim of herself,
Loved
and admired by too many knights.
Till
all she had left were scars of regret,
Of
the things that beauty had caused.
The blight of a beautiful soul,
Loved
by the darkness in the world.
Soon
the flower will wilt away,
And
in its drying petals; we realize
That
beauty sometimes is a burden of all that turns bleak.
