I FOUND AN ENCHANTING SIGHT. A LETTER FOR LOVE FOR YOU

I saw the calm sea
The subtle waves that smiled so sweet
I saw the minty dew
That wet the sights of the mornings dust.
I saw love’s shining flower
Staring softly in my direction

And in that moment
I stilled reality, to speak my love.

How could beauty ever move so clear?
With royal scent spread so high!
How can her steps be so soft?
With the music of soul and charm
How can love be so insane?
To make wish for a stranger that I know

Love’s infinite grasp
Dares my heart to stare
At the shining light
Timid and graceful

My ebony goddess,
Slim as the embrace of my hearts touch
Eyes fairer than the sight of a thousand daisies
Lips as luscious as the icing of a royal cake
Tall as the great becoming of the subtle Iroko
Voice as enchanting as the chorus of love’s eternal tune
You are the infinite certainty of beauty in my life.

I would look to the days of your love,
When all you are is mine
To find in the gardens of our embrace
Patiently waiting for my voice
To whisper
To shout
To say to all who hear
That at long last my love has come
And it came with every piece of you.
